The Jupiter Mavello Water Ionizer has more bells and whistles than the Technos, while the HiddenCures ionizer costs less and produces better antioxidant water. A batch ionizer such as the HiddenCures ionizer has advantages over a flow-through unit such as the Mavello water ionizer
If you are convinced that a batch ionizer is what you want, prices start at about $1,000. However, the HiddenCures unit, without any bells or whistles, sells for under $150. Note: The pH that an ionizer produces is not important as compared to the ORP. You can easily change the pH of water by adding a few drops of vinegar, or bicarbonate of soda. When it hits your stomach, the pH of the water will not have much effect. It is the negative hydrogen ion (the hydride) with its extra electron that makes ionized water valuable. Details of the Mavello It produces alkaline water, with acid water as a byproduct. This Jupiter water ionizer has five levels of alkalinity to choose from. You can switch off the ionizer, and have purified-only water. The Mavello ionization chamber has 5 electrodes for more efficient and rapid ionization at high flow rates. The Jupiter Mavello comes with an Ultra-Filter. This is a multi-stage carbon filter, capable of removing contaminants 0.01 microns in size. This is a newer model in which the cleaning cycle does not automatically run with each use. The cleaning cycle is only needed once per day. The cycle is manually started, and runs for 15 seconds. The power comes on automatically when water starts to flow. It connects to a diverter valve on your tap. (The manual is unclear about this). It has an automatic indicator when to replace the filter; it is based on time of use. The carbon filter has a port to add calcium pellets. It has a flow rate of 1 gallon per minute.
